DESCRIPTION:  The Basset Hound Coloring and Activities Book is designed to help children learn how to care for their Basset Hound and is appropriate for children who enjoy playing with crayons or colored pencils. This is a wonderful gift for children whose family is either in the process of purchasing a new Basset Hound or for families who currently own a Basset and who wish to teach children how to care for their dog.

TABLE OF CONTENTS: Coloring scenes include tips on feeding, exercising, bathing and grooming a Basset.  Other lessons focus on being sure a Basset is not left in the hot sun, that it is exercised in a fenced area, that it is not allowed to jump off high objects, that its ears are properly cleaned and that small toys are not left out, which a Basset may swallow. The importance of ID tags and veterinary check-ups are also topics which are depicted in coloring scenes. Instructions on how children can make a Basset Hound Care Cube are included as well as a Crossword Puzzle and a maze exercise.

CD TEMPLATE: The CD Template for this course is in Powerpoint.  The drawings are copyright free and may be adopted by other breed clubs who wish to substitute in drawings of their breed in the various coloring scenes.
